A new tropical disturbance brewing in the Atlantic Ocean is a reminder that hurricane season is far from over. Luckily, St. Johns County residents can get a free hand with their hurricane preparations in the form of free sandbags Wednesday morning.

Free sandbags will be available at a handful of locations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Supplies are limited to 12 sandbags per vehicle, and St. Johns County residents must show proof of residency.
