Home prices have skyrocketed across the country lately, and a study by Point2 looked at where prices doubled the fastest. If you have been shopping for a home in Duval County since 2019, this should come as no surprise: Jacksonville is on the list of 31 cities because its median home price has doubled since 2016.

Jacksonville is one of five Florida cities to make the list, but it’s not as extreme as Tampa and Miami, which made the top five for median prices that doubled in just six years.

The study examined home prices in the 100 largest cities between January 2000 and February 2024. According to the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, the median sale price of a single-family home in Duval County was $345,950 as of last month, up from just $217,405 pre-pandemic, in 2019.
