Record passengers flying through Jacksonville’s airport

A record number of people flew in or out of Jacksonville International Airport in 2023.

According to data released Wednesday, the airport surpassed its annual pre-COVID passenger record for the first time, with nearly 7.5 million passengers.

That’s a 13% increase over 2022 and surpassed the previous record of 7.18 million in 2019.

For comparison, passenger traffic during 2020’s COVID-19 restrictions was just under 2.9 million, jumping to just over 5 million in 2021 and 6.5 million in 2023, according to Airport Authority statistics.
