Duval students continue to get free JTA bus rides

The JTA will continue to offer free bus rides to Duval County middle and high school students through the MyRide2School program this school year.

Eligible students must provide student identification upon boarding a fixed route or First Coast Flyer bus to verify that they attend a public, private or charter middle or high school in Duval County.

MyRide2School began as a pilot program in early 2022 and has provided more than 245,000 rides to Duval County students since its inception. The program’s pilot stage served more than 36,000 riders from January through May 2022, before becoming a full-time program a year ago.

The program also was available to students this past summer, with ridership reaching almost 30,000 students. It now runs throughout the 2023-24 school year.   

JTA provides varied mass transit services via regular bus service, paratransit, the St. Johns River Ferry, Skyway and other services in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
