Capping off the Sing Out Loud Festival‘s month of local artist showcases in St. Augustine, the main event, the Francis Field Showcase of nationally touring acts, hits the historic city this weekend.

But before fans can sing along The Black Keys this Friday or Mumford and Sons on Saturday, they’ll need to navigate some road closures and parking. And some Ancient City residents will see impacts to services like garbage collection and mass transit.

Besides the Francis Field Showcase, a slate of shows are set for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at sites like the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, The Beacon Listening Room and Colonial Oak Music Park, as well as smaller venues. Some of the other bigger acts include Lord Huron, Yola, Maggie Rogers, Elle King, Amos Lee, and S.G. Goodman. 

The Historic Downtown Parking Facility shuts at 9 p.m. on Thursday through 2 a.m. on Sunday for use by festival officials.

One road closure started at midnight on Wednesday, and lasts until 5 a.m. Sunday on North Cordova Street from Orange Street to the entrance to the downtown parking facility. Access to that parking facility will only be available from West Castillo Drive until 5 a.m. on Friday.

More road closures start on 5 a.m. Friday, including eastbound West Castillo Drive, which will be shut down at U.S. 1 until 5 a.m. on Sunday. Sections of Westbound Castillo Drive, Riberia Street will also be closed at various times throughout the weekend.

Free parking and shuttle service will be provided at:

• The Visitor Information Center from noon on Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday from 198 & 212 W. King St., and from 11 a.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. on Sunday.
• The St. Johns County Health Department at 200 San Sebastian View, from 5 p.m. on Friday though 2 a.m. the next day, and 11 a.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. the next day.
• 301 San Marco Ave. from noon Friday through 2 a.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. the next day.

Because of the festival, city officials say that there is no residential yard debris collection on Wednesday. Thursday’s residential recycling is moved to Wednesday. Friday’s residential recycling will be collected Thursday, with no residential recycling collection on Friday.

And the STAR Circulator will run from 10 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
