Historic Independent Life Building approved for renovation

The city of Jacksonville has issued a permit for a $23.3 million construction project to convert the historic Independent Life Building in the Downtown North Core into housing and commercial space.

The adaptive reuse project is at 233 W. Duval St. DFI General Contractors LLC of Palm Bay is the contractor.
