Laura Pellicer is a master’s degree student at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY in New York City. She focuses on local accountability, data and engagement reporting. In New York, she has dug into how laundromat workers face labor abuses, tracked illegal recycling shipments, and investigated the enduring problem of exploding manholes. Her award-winning reporting often explores health and science, with an emphasis on the environment.
