Sunday

Jacksonville-Baldwin Rails to Trails Bike Tour

Halsema Trailhead | Jacksonville

Looking for a unique way to enjoy the outdoors? Join the park naturalist at the Halsema Road Trailhead parking lot for a leisurely bike ride. You’ll pedal about a mile and a half to a hidden bat roosting site, where you’ll learn all about Florida’s fascinating, often misunderstood bats. Along the way, the naturalist will point out wildflowers, birds and other local wildlife that make this trail so special.

Bring your own bike for the journey—JaxParks doesn’t offer rentals—and don’t forget your helmet. After your bat encounter, ride back with the group or continue exploring the trail at your own pace.

1175 Halsema Road N.; The event is free but RSVP required. RSVP here.
