The Jacksonville History Center is celebrating Women’s History Month with a special program on Wednesday to share the stories of two intrepid early 20th century Jacksonville women. Speaker Susan Masucci will talk about photographer Leah Mary Cox, who captured life in Jacksonville at the turn of the century. Then Cherri Picard will share the story of suffragist and Springfield resident Mary A. Nolan, who fought for women’s rights in 1917. The program begins at noon. Bring your own lunch, but drinks and dessert will be provided. Tickets: $10.
