JetBlue announced March 12 it will begin year-round nonstop service between Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale beginning June 18, expanding beyond spring break.
Nonstop, one-way fare for the daily Fort Lauderdale flight started at $104 on www,jetblue.com the day of the annoucement. Spring break service to Fort Lauderdale from Jacksonville was scheduled to end March 24.
Fort Lauderdale was JetBlue’s first destination when the Queens, New York-based company launched 26 years ago. Today the airline operates more departures from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport than any competitor, serving destinations across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
