Einstein A Go-Go 40th Reunion

Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Albatross + Myth Nightclub | Downtown Jacksonville

Jacksonville Beach’s legendary club Einstein A Go-Go shaped the city’s music scene for over a decade, and its 40th anniversary is being celebrated with a weekend reunion in Downtown Jacksonville. On Friday, DJ Ricky Hattaway will spin classic ‘80s and ‘90s alternative, punk, new wave, grunge, and indie tracks, honoring the acts who graced Einstein A Go-Go in its heyday. On Saturday, local favorites RickoLus, The Cadets and North Riverside Allstars perform live. The tribute wraps on Sunday with Frankenstein A Go-Go, a Halloween Goth Night dance party and costume contest.

Friday, 8 p.m. and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. at The Albatross, 113 E. Bay St.; Sunday, 9 p.m. at Myth, 333 E. Bay St.; Tickets start at $10 Tickets and more info.

Barktoberfest

Saturday

Mocama | Fernandina Beach

Spend the afternoon outdoors, meet fellow pet lovers and support local animal rescue efforts at Barktoberfest (formerly Pasta for Paws), benefiting the Nassau Humane Society. This year marks the fundraiser’s 21st birthday—old enough to move the party to the brewery. (I wonder if they’ll have a special non-alcoholic brew for dogs.) Enjoy food, drinks live music, games and activities for dogs and their humans. Don’t forget to bring your pup for some tail-wagging fun.

629 S. 8th St., Fernandina Beach; Tickets: $40 and proceeds go to Nassau Humane Society; Tickets and more info.
