1928 Cuban Bistro plans to expand in Brooklyn

With seven 1928 Cuban Bistro restaurants throughout Northeast Florida, Rebecca Gonzalez is bringing an eighth, this time to the Brooklyn/Riverside area of Downtown Jacksonville.

The city issued a permit Oct. 7 for AEC Integrated LLC to convert the closed Tossgreen at 501 Riverside Ave., Unit 107, into 1928 Cuban Bistro at a project cost of $64,000.

The 1928 Cuban Bistro will occupy 1,460 square feet of space on the ground floor. Tossgreen closed there in January as it continues to operate in VyStar Tower at 76 S.  Laura St. Downtown.
