A short stretch of County Road 220 between Shamrock Drive and Henley Road near Middleburg is shut down from now through 5 a.m. Monday for construction.

Clay County officials say the full road closure and detour is needed so crews can install large underground pipes with a crane and other large equipment.

Drivers will be detoured along Baxley Road, Blanding Boulevard and Henley Road. Private property and business access will be maintained at all times, and emergency vehicles will have full access during the work.

This project may involve nighttime construction activities, and residents in the area can expect increased noise or vibrations from machinery.
