Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services needs 60 families to open their hearts and homes to one of the dogs that will need a foster home while repairs are made at the shelter.

Animal Care and Protective Services said the animals need homes for six weeks so repairs can be made to the shelter’s air conditioning.

Supplies and support will be provided for households that foster dogs. The shelter needs to find homes for the dogs by Wednesday.

You can stop by the shelter, at 2020 Forest St., to get the fostering process started. Appointments are not needed, and dogs that are eligible to be fostered can go home with you the same day.

For more information, you can go to the Animal Care and Protective Services website.
