Spokesman Tracy Pierce said the logistics of closing shelters and ensuring the district has enough food for students are among the considerations for reopening.

The district also plans to hold high school football games Friday night. Fifteen of the 16 programs that were scheduled to play this week will play.

Six games will kick off Friday; Baldwin will host Bradford on Saturday night; and two other games will be moved to Sept. 5. Stanton’s contest against the North Florida Education Institute has been moved to Oct. 20.
