  • Jazzy’s announced its immediate closure on social media on Tuesday. Co-owner Celestia Mobley, a chef who’s been in the industry for 25 years, said Jazzy’s is closing primarily due to lawsuits. News4Jax has more on the closure. Mobley said a new restaurant, 904 Jazzy’s, hopes to open Downtown by early next year.
  • Wall Street Deli & Lounge has decided not to renew its lease after 30 years in business. A new owner, ServStar, has bought the bar’s building and two other businesses in Riverside. A closing date has not been determined, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported. ServStar owns several bars and restaurants in the Jacksonville area, including Pete’s Bar, The Shim Sham Room, Hoptinger, Surfer the Bar and Mango’s.
  • Tabula Rasa Brewing will close Sunday on Corbett Street next to McCoys Creek, according to the business’s website. The announcement did not give a reason for the closing. “It’s with a heavy heart we are announcing that the brewery will be closing,” it said. “We appreciate all the love and support from our wonderful customers these last five years.” Tabula Rasa is having a closing sale on all cases of cans and will sell kegs with no deposit and no return. “Keep the keg as a souvenir,” the business said.
