The collaborative focuses on ways to increase business opportunities and refresh the overall look of the Wells Road corridor from U.S. 17 to Blanding Boulevard. The goal, county officials say, is to create a Gateway to Clay that residents can be proud of.

The effort follows an agreement approved by the County Commission with Smart North Florida to work on transportation and pedestrian safety on the road.
