The city of Jacksonville has a new website and a new URL: jacksonville.gov.
Anyone who uses the old coj.net address will be automatically redirected to the new one.

The new website’s homepage has links for government, business, community, city services, careers, employee services, and “Explore Jax,” with things to do. And a Transparency link goes to the city’s Office of Public Accountability, so residents can access senior city administrators’ email addresses and look at emails to and from the mayor’s office.
The homepage also has direct links to the MYJAX mobile app to report problems, as well as the JaxReady app for emergency preparedness information.
And there is a section highlighting Mayor Donna Deegan’s priorities, from the economy and military/veterans to public safety.

In a news release on the website change, Deegan calls the site’s unveiling “a new day in our city.”
“We felt it was time to refresh Jacksonville’s website in order to give citizens the best experience possible,” Deegan said. “To that end, we worked hard to modernize it and make it more intuitive, so that visitors can quickly and efficiently find the website itself, as well as the information they are searching for.”
The new site also retains the content from the previous site, coj.net. And there are no immediate plans to change city’s @coj.net emails at this time.
All of the work on the new site was completed in-house by the city’s Information Technologies Division.
