A show by the band Vinegar in St. Augustine; a holiday disco market in Springfield; and the Riverside/Avondale Luminaria are What to Do this weekend in the Jacksonville area.

Vinegar at Spinster Abbott’s
Saturday
Spinster Abbott’s | St. Augustine
If you’re looking for a Saturday night plan that’s a little different, head over to Spinster Abbott’s. Vinegar is making the drive up from Cocoa for their St. Augustine debut, and they’re bringing a three-hour set of all-original music with them. The band is known for high-energy live shows that lean into alt-rock and psychedelic jam territory, so it could be a fun break from all of the holiday music that dominates this time of year. Stop by, grab a drink, and help welcome them to town!
Show starts at 8 p.m.; 61 San Marco Ave.; Free admission; More info.

Holiday Disco Market
Saturday
Juice Wine Bar | Springfield
Yes you read that correctly. Juice Wine Bar is hosting a festive holiday market with a disco theme. They’re bringing in a variety of vendors selling vintage treasures and handmade goodies, which is a good bet if you’re looking for delightful gifts that won’t be expected. There will also be BBQ and yummy baked goods. Grab a glass of wine, browse through some local finds and boogie!
7 p.m.-11 p.m.; 1744 N. Main St., Free admission; 18+ only; More info.

Luminaria
Sunday
Multiple locations | Riverside and Avondale
It’s hard to talk about December in Jacksonville without mentioning Luminaria. For over 40 years, this has been the go-to event for anyone wanting to see Riverside/Avondale at its best. For one night, the historic district is completely lit by candlelight. It’s a pretty simple concept, just thousands of paper lanterns lining the streets, but the effect is genuinely impressive. People walk (or ride bikes) through the neighborhoods, catch up with neighbors and take in the architecture under a different light. It’s a massive (but super chill), and very local tradition that never really gets old. Plus, check out these spots for some “extra glow” on Sunday evening.
This free event starts around sundown; More info.
