Winter Storm Enzo brought chaos and cold to the First Coast this week, but it didn’t set any records for snow. Our number this week is the amount of snow recorded by the National Weather Service at the Jacksonville International Airport on Wednesday: one tenth of 1 inch.

0.1 inches

Duval County didn’t set any records this week, but Florida’s snow leader — Milton — padded its stats with 8 to 9 inches. That’s more than twice the previous state record. Here are the cities that held the record in all the Florida counties that had seen snow. (In Duval, Jax Beach is holding strong with 2.5 inches.)

To prepare for the arctic blast, the Florida Department of Transportation pulled out equipment it doesn’t usually use and prepared interstate roads and bridges with a de-icing solution. Three bridges in Jacksonville had to close for several hours on Wednesday morning: the Hart, the Mathews and the Main Street.
