5 & Dime Presents: Lizzie, the Musical

Local nonprofit theatre company, 5 & Dime continues its run of performances of Lizzie, The Musical. Based in the late 19th century and set to a rock score, the 2009 production is the story of Lizzie Bowden, who was accused of murdering her father and his new wife, and Lizzie’s controversial acquittal. Lumen Repertory Theatre presents Cadillac Crew

The Lumen Repertory regional theater company presents the final two performances of playwright Tori Sampson’s critically acclaimed Cadillac Crew. The play, which premiered at Yale Repertory in 2019, follows four 1960s Civil Rights activists – Rachel, Abby, Dee and Sarah – navigating the limits of their place both in society and within the protest movement itself. Jacksonville Dance Theatre presents: Trace

Local professional dance company the Jacksonville Dance Theatre presents its fall repertory program, Trace, which features choreographic works inspired by historical figures from the American modern dance lineage, with commissions from former Erick Hawkins Company dancer Louis Kavouras and Paul Taylor Dance Company performer Susan Dodge, among other pieces. In addition, JDT Artistic Director Rebecca R. Levy,presents her work “Tomb,” accompanied by a live performance by the Jacksonville Symphony’s Wind Ensemble. Show: 8 p.m. Tickets and more info.
